STRASBOURG (Janacek-Carsen Cycle): Petite France Contemporaine_eng

VEC MAKROPULOS · THE CUNNING LITTLE VIXEN · FROM THE HOUSE OF DEATH

I remember when l’Opera du Rhin offered to me the role of Dr. Kolenaty for this production, it was not very easy decision what to do: Important and difficult role, in  Czech, New Production, Robert Carsen …. in fact one of my colleagues told me that this is one of the most difficult roles she has seen in the history of opera. I don’t know exactly if it’s like that, but I can tell to you that it is really hard. 1 year studying to mature well it, many hours of rehearsals and many work after them at home, but finally it is doing very well. I’m happy.

Today I want to explain to you a very pleasant walk that I made and I recommend you it strong. From the Cathedral go down to the river and walk to your right or take the Grand Rue to the Petite France. If you make that in the morning and with a sunny day much better. And when it’s on Sunday is even better, and now you will understand why. After you approach to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Strasbourg, on Sunday between 11am and 14pm they make a Brunch in the Museum’s Restaurant, that is on the top, from where there are beautiful views of the city. You can eat there and then you can visit the museum worthwhile. After that, returning back to the centre, you could stop at “La Tinta” to take one the, a small literary café that is in the Petite France. Full and beautiful day!

At the end I leave an interview that Catalunya Música Broadcast has done to me these days in which I talk about the production among other things. It’s in Catalan.
