AMSTERDAM/ what to do in 1 day (1st part)

Occasionally the singers have to go to explore new territories, theaters, artistic directors and so on ….. and we should not be lazy about it because, it is not easy, They won’t come home to know you. This is what I’ve done this week. First Paris, then Amsterdam and finally Liège. I will not say to you where exactly I’ve had professional contacts.

But don’t worry about I will explain to you what to make 1 day in Amsterdam, especially if it’s raining. First I recommend you not reserve you hotel near the station. The hotels are expensive and bad. I recommend  the district called Pijp. There is a 2 star small hotel very good, nice and cheap, Sarphati is called and is located in front of Saphartipark. Easily accessible by Tram from Central Station (No. 4 or 25). I have not tried it, but it looks very good. Nearby you have a lot of interesting areas such as museums, the Concertgebouw, a market, a pedestrian street called Helststraat where there are many cafes and restaurant. Right there the first night I have dinner in a place called Bazaar. A former synagogue converted into a Turkish restaurant (uo!). The next day before you can take your breakfast at the Coffee Company. You have 2 very close and the atmosphere is very modern, cultural and they make a ristretto very interesting. No tourists. You can have you breakfast reading the newspaper or working on Internet. There is a giant wooden table that is shared with everyone.

A hug to everyone and do not forget to subscribe to the blog! So you get a mail when there is new entry.
